Dear Friends of Sky Lodge,

You may have heard that after 40 plus years of ministry and service our Sky Lodge Director team, Steve and Terry Hankins, will be stepping down as of August 31, 2024. Steve (as Director) and Terry (as office manager, etc) have served tirelessly and sacrificed long hours to provide a great camp experience for thousands of people and hundreds (if not thousands) of events over the years. Many have benefitted and been touched by their gracious care and service. We are sure many will want to express appreciation to the Hankins’ as they prepare for retirement, and below you will find several opportunities to do just that. (FYI-Steve and Terry will be relocating in the town of Montello and are in challenging process of preparing a dwelling to live.)
Retirement Event: On July 13, 2024, there will be a special celebration at Sky Lodge for Steve and Terry. This will be a time of remembering the last 40 years with stories, video, fun and laughter, as well as a special combined gift of thanks. Watch the Sky Lodge Facebook page for details and times for the event. To make this happen, we need your help—your stories, your pictures, and funds so we can give them a great send off. Here’s how:

For those who may not be aware, Sky Lodge is owned and operated by the North Central Conference of the Free Methodist Church. Obviously, it’s a bit awkward to have all the funds, notes and photos be sent through Sky Lodge and have Steve and Terry arrange their own celebration. So the NCC is coordinating this with the Sky Lodge Board and our celebration team.
