SPECIALTY SPEAKER
Dates:
Ideally we are looking for someone who can commit to a full summer role from June 5 – August 11, 2022.
We do still welcome applications from those who are only available for a portion of the schedule.
Applicants:
We would prefer for applicants to have graduated from college.
Qualifications:

Has a personal relationship with God in which their love for Him is clearly seen in daily life.

Dedicated to their personal spiritual growth and submission to the guidance of the Spirit.

Has a good understanding of the Bible and the process of spiritual formation.

Shows enthusiasm and has a passion for working with children.

Has some experience preparing and presenting Bible lessons to youth.

Demonstrates the ability and skill to engage a group of 10-30 children for 30 minutes.

Agrees with the philosophy and policies of Sky Lodge Christian Camp.

Willing to be stretched (intellectually, emotionally, mentally & spiritually) and to forego personal rights for the common good of the camp community.
Job Description:
Our Specialty Speaker is responsible for preparing a five part lesson for the evening chapel sessions. There is about 20-40 minutes allotted for each night. The series should be age appropriate and may be reused throughout the summer. You will be working with 2 different age groups (grades 4-6 & grades 7-9). Our speaker will also be responsible for organizing a 5-10 min. morning devotional (5 mornings). The speaker should be an active participant in the activities, meal times, and free time of our campers. Should also be prepared to help with general camp duties such as cabin cleaning and registration set up.
Schedule:
Speaking: June 5-10: for Equestrian 1 (Girls, Grades 7-9)
*Counseling: June 11-17: for Young Teen Camp (Coed, Grades 7-9)
*Counseling: June 18-24: for Junior Camp (Coed, Grades 4-6)
Speaking: June 25 – June 30 for Equestrian 2 & Guy Stuff Camp (Coed, Grades 7-9)
Speaking: July 2-7 for Cowgirl 1 & Adventure 1 (Coed, Grades 4-6)
*Support Staff: July 8-14 for Family Camp (All ages)
Speaking: July 16-21: for Equestrian 3 (Girls, Grades 7-9)
Speaking: July 23-28 for Equestrian 4 (Girls, Grades 7-9)
*Support Staff: July 30- August 5 for Guest group (All ages)
Speaking: August 6-11 for Cowgirl 2 (Girls, Grades 4-6)
*These weeks are optional for those applying for an entire summer role.
Pay:
$250 per week + room/board
