3/13/2025 Update

Progress has slowed in the Hitching Post with our focus on the log cabin in March, but it has not stopped! Electricians visited again to do detail work like placing outlets and getting the lights attached to switches. Volunteers have been coming to get the drywall mudded and sanded. Several of the smaller, side rooms have even been primed for painting. Every little bit of progress helps. Once our "March Madness" initiative on the log house is over, we will come back strong to continue work on the Hitching Post. 

1/22/2025 Update

We had 4 volunteers join our staff on December 21 for the last Hitching Post work day of 2024. All the remaining drywall to be hung was put in place. It was a good feeling to get all that accomplished before the new year! 
With all the drywall hung, we are now in process of getting all the walls taped and mudded. The cold weather makes it a little tricky to place mud and have it dry properly, but the work is being accomplished slowly and surely.  It's encouraging to see good, steady progress. We're thankful for the way the Lord is providing people and resources to keep things going on this project! 

12/18/2024 Update
We've hosted 2 work days in December in which staff and volunteers have placed insulation and hung drywall. We're making great progress! We were able to get the ceiling done so that insulation could be (and was) blown in. We will host one more work day in December on Saturday the 21st and show you our progress after that! 

​12/9/2024 Update

Progress on the Hitching Post continues. We passed the electrical and plumbing rough-in inspections. This meant that volunteers were able to start drywalling.
