The state of Wisconsin has changed requirements in an attempt to limit the spread of invasive insects and diseases. The diseases are easily traced to firewood including emerald ash borer, gypsy moth, or oak wilt.  The DNR is prohibiting visitors from bringing firewood to state parks from outside the state of WI, or from farther than 50 miles away. 

At Sky Lodge, we have lost many of our trees due to oak wilt over the past several years.  In order to protect our own natural resources and to help prevent any further spread of these diseases, Sky Lodge is adopting the state park regulations.

Starting in 2009, Sky Lodge will provide firewood for sale in the camper park.  All monies collected from the sale of firewood will go toward camper park expenses (i.e. purchase of porta- potties and electric upgrade.)
