Dear Counselor or Program Worker, 

Hurry up summer!  Tired of winter?  We want to go swimming and fishing with all our camp friends! 

            Junior Camp - June 21-26 (Co-ed, grades 4,5,6)
            Young Teen Camp - June 28-July 3 (Co-ed, grades 7,8,9)
            Equestrian Camp – July 4-9 ((Girls, grades 7,8,9)
            Cowgirl Camp – July 18-23 (Girls, grades 4,5,6)
            High School Experience – Sept. 3-6 (Co-ed, grades 9, 10, 11, 12, 13)

 We are committed to having a positive impact on boys and girl’s lives for Jesus.  As a result, there are three requirements before you can be a camp counselor: 

1. All counselors/program workers are required to submit the volunteer application. 

 2. A background check will be done on all counselors and program workers. You must fill out the authorization form for the background check.

 3.  Cabin counselors will participate in Counselor Training. 
First, complete the new and improved online classes. (coming soon)

Second, attend the on-site training the evening and the morning before the scheduled event.  (Junior Camp - June 20-21; Young Teen Camp - June 27-28) 
The most effective counselors are prepared counselors.  This helps eliminate surprise situations by equipping you to make informed and safety conscious decisions.  (We will contact Equestrian and Cowgirl counselors about best time for training.)

 All counselors are expected to attend counselor training at camp the evening before their session.... without campers.  Other adults will need to provide travel for the campers.
 

Our procedure for all non-counseling volunteer staff:

1. Submit the volunteer application. 
2. You must fill out the authorization form for the background check.
We haven’t had any problems in the past, but we want to do everything possible to protect the campers. 

As always, Counselor Training will be held the night before Junior Camp and Young Teen Camp.   This is only for the cabin counselors.  You are welcome to arrive on the night before camp starts, but you will not be required to attend counselor training.

If you are planning to be a counselor or other volunteer at a youth camp, you MUST fill out and submit a Volunteer  Application.  

  Must be completed by everyone helping in ANY capacity with the campers.  

 Your signature on this form gives us permission to do a standard background check. This background check is required.

   Coming soon --  a new, improved online training course for all of our counselors. Once your Volunteer Application is received, you must complete the online Counselor Training Course.
